Fibro Feelings – 4th of July Fun

What is Fibro Feelings?

I always get excited for the 4th of July because it involves fireworks. I could watch fireworks every night of my life and never get bored of them. I love all the different styles and colors, but, of course, the purple ones are my favorite! I actually wanted to have fireworks at my wedding – a girl can dream, right?! This year The Helpful Hubby and I went to watch a nearby fireworks show that we hadn’t seen before. There was a little festival/fair going on before hand that we hung out for a bit. Although many of the food booths used oil that contained soy, I was able to find a thin-crust pizza booth that had a soy-free margarita pizza! Luckily, the music and fireworks weren’t so loud that I needed earplugs, because I’d forgotten to pack them in my bag.

We did a lot of walking around and while I felt fine that evening when I woke up the next morning my ankles were hurting. Such a strange place to have be the main aftermath of a busy day – at least for me. I switched between my compression ankle sleeve and my ankle brace for a few days and then got back to normal. I’d worn my calf compression sleeves to the event, but also had to wear those a few days until my swelling had completely gone away. Luckily, I had planned an easier meal for the 5th of July, knowing I’d be a little tuckered out. We had blue hard shell tacos with corn casserole. I also had some delicious Rainier cherries this week. They’re my favorite type, but sometimes hard to find.

I had to laugh because although I’ve had my summer/4th of July decorations sitting in a pile on a table to put up for a couple weeks, I just got them up on the 3rd or 4th. =) I usually leave my red, white, blue, flag things up until the end of the month anyway, so I’ve still got time to enjoy them.

I love all the firework displays. Due to the drought this year in my area individuals fireworks was not allowed.

=( I heard about that being the case in many places and felt so bummed for everyone that is already dealing with the stress of the wildfires. Of course, maybe them being banned decreases the stress for them too.
