The highlight of my week was easily finding out that I’d been included in Healthline’s 21 Best Fibromyalgia Blogs of 2012! You get the sense that that the author, Tracy Rosecrans, took the time to really read and explore each site. Take a look at all the blog descriptions and see which ones appeal the most to you. You can find me on slide 4, where it says,

“Like sunshine in a computer screen, Felicia Fibro makes life with fibromyalgia a little brighter. Determined to make the most of life with a chronic illness, she has turned her sites toward advocacy, awareness, and activities that make life with fibro a lot more fun.

Felicia Fibro is filled with helpful tips, uplifting stories, the latest news, community interaction, and even product reviews for items that take some of the pain out of life with fibro and similar conditions. A ray of light in an otherwise gloomy world of aches and fatigue, blogger Felicia truly is a woman worthy of this award.”

I think that is one of the most flattering reviews I’ve had and it put a huge smile on my face. One of the other reasons I really like this list is that in both the first and last slide the author talks about sharing the list with someone you know who has fibromyalgia. I love to see articles prompt family and friends to be interested in and supportive about our health conditions. Rosecrans also pointed out how blogs can help strengthen the sense of community for those who have fibromyalgia, which can often feel isolating. I’m actually starting to wonder if the writer has fibromyalgia herself, as she seems to understand the situation so well!
