Fibro Feelings – Holiday Preperations
I haven’t had anything major going on this week, so I’ve taken advantage of that and started preparing for the holidays. I finally switched some of my photo wall photos from summer pictures to fall ones. Although I still haven’t gotten all my Halloween decorations away (this is my goal for the next few days), I did buy my Christmas stamps. They are “forever” stamps with ornaments on them, so I bought extra since the postage rates are raising in a couple months. I bought my Christmas cards in the after-Christmas sales last year, so I’ve already got those. I plan to start addressing them next week. That way I can do little batches at a time without feeling overwhelmed or getting a hand cramp.
I’m also trying to start thinking of the gifts I want to buy the special people in my life. This is always a difficult process for me, so please share any brilliant ideas that you have! It seems like most years I try to get some holiday music from the library and the hold lists are already way too long to get any before the holidays. The thought crossed my mind this week, so I requested two (ok, really it was 12) holiday CDs. While I normally don’t like listening to holiday music until after Thanksgiving, I’m so dang excited that I got my hands on some this year that I have been!
Some of you may have noticed that I removed my Google Friend Connect box in the left-hand column and replaced it with a Facebook box. I’ve been wanting to put together a new page to add to this website too, but that may have to wait until after the holidays. I also want to change the Archive area, so it doesn’t take up as much space, so stay tuned for some updates! Is there anything in particular that you’re hoping I’ll write about? Please feel free to share your ideas!

Well, I decided that I’m not going to send out Thanksgiving cards this year or decorate for Thanksgiving. I figured since it has taken me so long to put the Halloween decorations away, I’ll just wait a couple weeks and decorate for Christmas. I’m trying to make the holiday season as stress free as possible!
