Fibro Feelings – Halloween Hubbub

What is Fibro Feelings?

This week was mostly filled with Halloween related things for me. I tried to take it easy before the weekend so I could fully enjoy my friend’s Halloween party and it worked! I somehow managed to stay six hours with The Helpful Hubby. My feet were hurting pretty badly, so I was happy to find out that a few people were hanging out in a bedroom, resting their feet. (No, there wasn’t any funny business going on) I sat on the bed and joined them, which allowed me to stay an extra hour or so. It was so much fun and the costumes were great! The following day I was ex-huas-ted! About the only thing I got accomplished was writing Monday’s post and that took me lots of hours. I caved and ordered pizza for dinner so my body could just sit and relax.

On Halloween night I handed out candy and glow bracelets (from the $1 bin at Target) to trick-or-treaters. I was great to see my old neighbor and two of her kids again. Her daughter’s favorite color is purple, just like me! We had less trick-or-treaters than normal, but it seems like most people that I know did. All the getting up and down from a sitting position started to wear on me as my back/leg/hip issue of lately started feeling worse. I feel kinda bad, because afterward I realized that I forgot to tell most of the kids how great their costumes were. Oops!

I also made the mistake of scheduling Squeaky’s annual veterinary appointment for the day after Halloween! So, I was up and at ‘em the next day as well. With my back/leg/hip pain I decided not to go grocery shopping while I was out, but The Helpful Hubby took me to pick up a few things after dinner. I haven’t given taking down the Halloween decorations more than a mere mental thought of that it is time to do it, but I did change my computer wallpaper from candy corn to fall leaves!

Have you moved on to thinking about Thanksgiving yet?

I’ve been wiped out all week from Halloween. I think I’ve just started feeling better over the weekend. My hubs took Monday and Tuesday off work so he could help on Halloween and the day after taking down all the outdoor decorations. I like to get them down right away, mostly because I am always worried someone is going to walk off with them! Today I was looking for a good no bake pumpkin pie recipe, so I guess that means I am getting ready for Thanksgiving! :-)

That is nice that he was able to take those days off for you! The decorations I was mentioning taking down are indoors. I have an excellent pumpkin pie recipe, – you have to bake it, but it uses Pilsbury pie dough that you just stretch out a little.
