Fibro Feelings – Lower Back

What is Fibro Feelings?

I woke before my alarm went off feeling too warm for comfort. I got up, took a drink of water, went to the bathroom, changed into shorts, took another drink of water and got back into bed. (Yes, there is a reason I wrote out everything that I did – keep reading!) I laid there for ~15 minutes and decided that I was too awake to go back to sleep and arose from my bed. Woozers! My lower back was in extreme pain. It was very painful to even reach down and pick up my glass of water from my nightstand. The strange thing was, my back had not hurt at all when I’d gotten up and done a few things ~15 minutes earlier. I knew I needed to shower ASAP to get some moist heat on my back. My body was so stiff as I worked through the pain taking off my PJs. I got in the shower and tried to massage my back a little while the hot water was hitting it.

After showering I tried to stretch and pop my back. It popped once and alleviated a small bit of pain, but I was still not in good shape. I hobbled around the house feeding Squeaky, eating breakfast, checking my email and then went to get some Sombra Natural Pain Relieving Gel. At this point my back was hurting so badly that any inch of movement forwards, backwards or to either side was very painful. Bending at all was excruciating! I rubbed some Sombra Natural Pain Relieving Gel into my lower back and about a minute later started feeling the warm tingly effects and less of my pain. This gave me the boost I needed to finish getting ready to meet a friend for lunch. If it wasn’t going to be my friend’s last day in town for awhile I might have asked to reschedule, but I really wanted to see her. Even though it was painful I am glad I went, it was wonderful to catch up with her!

Driving too and from lunch I was enjoying the feeling of the warm heated car seats on my back, but anytime I had to even slightly apply the breaks, my back cried out. As soon as I got home I applied more Sombra Natural Pain Relieving Gel. I was so happy that I had leftovers to eat for dinner and didn’t need to cook. I did some more more stretching and after releasing one stretch I got a loud, low-sounding pop in my back. This also helped elevate some pain. Not so much that I could sleep though – I ended up taking a muscle relaxer at bedtime. I’m not so sure the muscle relaxer helped ease any of my pain, but it did help me fall asleep. The next morning I felt slightly better.
