Fibro Feelings – Goobbly Good News
I’m so excited to share that my Tdap booster shot went fine this time! My arm was sore for a few days and maybe I was a little bit more fatigued, but it was not the mess that it was the last time I got it. This makes me wonder if I’m somehow handling it better because I’m pregnant or it is some other reason that I’d like to figure out. Either way, I’m happy it worked out this way because I had lots to get done.
We weren’t able to be with family for Thanksgiving this year, but another couple we’re friends with invited us to their house. It was nice to get to meet their family and to only have to cook one dish! I can’t believe that for a few minutes I entertained the idea of cooking a feast and inviting friends over all while being so pregnant. I helped clean up a little at our friends’ house and stood and talked quite a bit and my back and sciatica have been hurting pretty badly ever since. I can only imagine how I’d feel if I’d gone all out.
Speaking of food, I recently found out that IKEA stores actually have allergen charts at their restaurants! It listed most of their food offerings and which foods had what allergens and some items even had full ingredient lists. I was able to eat their meatballs WITHOUT gravy and a side of steamed vegetables. The employees weren’t sure of their cooking oil, but were able to find out what it was for me. It was vegetable oil, so it may have had soy in it. I didn’t pursue it further to know for sure. I remember that their red skin mashed potatoes, french fries, all their salad dressings and gravy contained soy. We bought some of their frozen meatballs to take home for an easy, frozen meat option that is soy-free. All this made the long drive to the store worth it.
How was your Thanksgiving?
