Fibro Feelings – Calm Before the Storm
This past week has primarily been a week of rest and relaxation, which is just what I needed. My hip/pelvic/leg pain and numbness while sleeping has kicked back in again. This causes me to wake up every two hours throughout the night from the discomfort, which means I’m not getting the best sleep. I can’t wait until I can sleep in whatever position I want again, after the baby is born.
Next week is going to be fairly busy, so since it was a slower week this week I made time to meet up with a friend for dinner. We went to a place I’d never been before and they worked fairly well with my soy sensitivity. It was nice catching up, as I hadn’t seen in her in about a month. I also washed a few more loads of baby clothes, as I’m trying to spread that task out to make it easier. I finally got caught up on the DVR congestion that had been going on since we had house guests staying with us. Maybe that isn’t that important of an item, but it is one less thing to do!
One of my friends plays in a local symphony and I’ve never been able to make it to her concerts due to scheduling conflicts. I’m excited that this week I was finally able to go and hear her play! Surprisingly, the seats were fairly comfortable to sit in for two hours. I felt badly for one small boy who was crying and covering his ears during one song. It has some strong soprano saxophone solos in it and it was obviously just to much for him. I sympathized with him since I know what it is like to be sensitive to loud noises. For instance, when we went to Costco following the concert. I hate how loud that place is and by the time we left I was already not acting or thinking as well as I normally do.
What do you like to do in advance of a busy week?

I always love to get a massage ahead of time. It gives me a little more energy before any busy time

This reminds me that I still need to find a replacement for my great massage therapist that moved away…
