Fibro Feelings – Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week

What is Fibro Feelings?

It’s National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week once again and I’m excited to hear quite a few of the speakers at their virtual conference. All of the talks will be archived, so there is no worrying about making sure I’m at a computer at any certain time. Some of the talk topics include finding yourself, marriage, parenting, school, working and advocacy. You can check out the schedule and further info on at the link above.

Last month I had a mini-freak out and thought that I’d missed National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week a midst a busy few weeks. I’m not sure things have slowed down, but I’ve gotten this a little more together at this point. I’m taking full advantage of sleeping on Monday as it is the first day in a full week that I don’t have one of two things scheduled to get done that require getting up at a certain time and driving somewhere. It is also my only day like this as Tuesday and Wednesday are also pretty busy. Looking at my calendar for October relaxes me as it is much more open than September has ever been. Obviously it’ll fill up some, but for now it is my on-screen refuge. hehe.

In other news, I’ve been getting pretty congested lately, which is sometimes resulting in a headache. I was just starting to feel the effects of one for about an hour when we stumbled upon something new to help it! We went out to eat pho for dinner and it actually cleared my sinuses up enough that I felt perfectly fine the rest of the evening! I will certainly be using this trick again to test it some more. Pho is always a feel good, warmer-upper food in the fall and winter, so the timing is great.

What topics are you excited to hear about at the virtual conference?
