Fibro Feelings – Settling into Spring
I finally got my spring decorations up this year, but since it is only one week until Easter I decided not to put out the decor that was directly Easter related. That way I don’t have to worry about putting some of the decorations away one week after I put them up. After all, the point of seasonal decorations are to improve how I feel about the season! I mentioned it last year, but I also change my computer background and window colors with the seasons. Since that only takes a couple minutes, I got that done weeks ago!
I decided against scheduling a massage as I’d mentioned last week. It seems like my bursitis is fairly inflamed and I don’t want to make it worse. A couple days ago it was really hurting and the pain was preventing me from being able to sleep. The Helpful Hubby briefly tried to massage it, but it was super tender to the touch again. This makes me nervous, as the pain upon pressure was similar to what it’d been when my rheumatologist said he thought I needed a cortisone shot there last time. I still have one week before I could get into to see him, but I’ll keep trying to catch a open spot from a cancellation. In the mean time I’m icing it more again.
I was excited that my schedule has changed I’m finally able to participate in the Wego Health Activist chat on Twitter. If you’d like to join in with other health care activists and providers, use the hashtag #HAChat at 3pm EST every Tuesday. The topic changes weekly and focuses on health activist topics, online health advocacy, online resources tools, and health community leadership ideas. You can see weekly recaps on their blog.
How’re you settling into spring?
