Fibro Feelings – Halloween Sweet Tooth
*Yawn* I’m feeling super exhausted today even though I’ve rested all day, except for making dinner. This makes me super happy that I decided to take it easy last weekend, knowing that Monday and Tuesday would be busy. Monday I went into have a dental exam with my new dentist. I had my cleaning and x-rays done last week and was nervous to hear the results. For most of my life I’ve had cleanings every six months, but due to my old dentist not being able to fit me in the last two times I’ve visited my parents it’d been around two years! =/
Luckily I only had one cavity, which I was expecting. I’m happy to finally have a dentist in my area and get back to my regular cleaning schedule. My new dentist suggested that I start using a fluoride gel. Do any of you use that? After my dentist appointment I ran tons of errands (including buying Halloween candy), rested an hour and cooked dinner. Did you hear about that dentist (Dr. Stephen Carosello) in Ohio who is buying back Halloween candy to send to U.S. troops? He’s sending the candy, along with toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss – love it!
Tuesday I went to my rheumatologist appointment and then met my friend for happy hour/dinner. We had lots of fun laughing and catching up and eventually her boyfriend came to join us. They’re having a Halloween party this weekend, so we also stopped by her place so I could drop off the items that she’d asked me to contribute. One less thing to worry about doing the night of her party, plus she’ll have them before I arrive! Makes perfect sense, right? Her boyfriend didn’t get why I was bringing them early. Her place was all decorated up and it got me excited for Halloween! The next day I got a call from my rheumatologist asking me to come back in and do the lab work they forgot to ask me to do. It is a 40 minute drive in one direction, so I’m hoping they can ask my PCP’s office to do it there instead.
What’re your plans for Halloween?

No plans for Halloween here. Haven’t done anything or even gone to a party in over a decade at least. Hubs and I are pretty isolated and homebody types anyway. Esp as we both have chronic pain. Booooring I know. Such is life Hope you have a great time though!

Me and my hubs are handing out Halloween candy to the kids in our neighborhood. We decorated the outside of the house a few weekends ago… unfortunately I hit my head on the mailbox in the process, which resulted in a pretty bad fibro-flare. But I am feeling better now & resting up for Monday!

We’re going to hand out candy too. I’m glad you’re feeling better from your injury!

I didn’t realize that your husband also has chronic pain. I bet that can be tough at times, but also have perks like completely understanding each other’s situation.
I certainly don’t seek out a party to go to on Halloween, but my close friend has a Halloween party every year.
