Fibro Feelings – Pumpkin Patch
The highlight of my week was going to the pumpkin patch with The Helpful Hubby. We walked around the patch finding our perfect pumpkins and checking out the huge ones. As we were doing that we smelled kettle corn being made, so we had to get a bag of that too! My ankle felt decently for the type of walking we were doing, except for the intense pain that came after accidentally hitting a sign with my foot. One of my favorite things about the patch we go to is looking at all the small, strange guards and squash they have. I only bought one white mini pumpkin from those this year.
After we got home I put all the summer decorations away (I’d previously gathered them up) and put all my Halloween decorations up. After that I was pretty tired, so I just ordered pizza for dinner. That worked out well since The Helpful Hubby’s friend was over too. Post dinner was filled with television and RICEing my ankle.
My ankle is still healing well. I’m no longer wrapping it, but depending on what I’m up to, I switch between wearing an ankle brace and a compression sleeve. The Helpful Hubby went out to eat at a fancy buffet with some friends for a birthday celebration and wouldn’t you know it – we were sat on a different level from the buffet. There was no elevator, so The Helpful Hubby had to carry my plate for me, while I waddled down the stairs. =) Foodwise I’m still having problems finding quick meals that are not made with any soy, so please let me know if you have any suggestions! I’m also having a hard time finding soy free treat foods – like milk chocolate.
Have you gotten your fall/Halloween pumpkins yet?
