Fibro Feelings – Fall is in the Air
For the first time in almost a month The Helpful Hubby and I took a weekend day (and night) to do completely nothing, except for relaxing. My back was hurting, so I can’t say that I felt up to doing much anyway. We watched a lot of TV, spent some times on our computers, and talked. It felt SO nice and was just what we both needed. It also allowed me to save up energy for the next day, which involved running errands and going to Arthritis Walk committee meeting. I’ve also spent a lot of time this week working on social media for my local Arthritis Walk. I’m so glad that they’re finally embracing social media as I know it will do nothing but add to the event!
I’ve been enjoying the weather, as it flips back and forth between sunny, summer days and cooler, fall days. This balance lets me appreciate both types of days fully. I enjoyed my first cup of pumpkin spice hot tea this season am an itching to start decorating for Halloween. I must admit that I’ve already bought two orange mini pumpkins from my local farmer’s market and looked up when my local pumpkin patch will be open. This also has me realizing that I should probably start figuring out what Christmas gifts I want to get people. Having that figured out in advance sure makes getting through the holiday season much easier. I try to avoid going shopping during the holiday shopping craze.
I realized that I forgot to tell you guys that the RD I was working with on my elimination diet had me switch probiotics. Since wanted me to use a high potency probiotic that also had lactobacillus in it so she had me start taking VSL#3. I still have a lot of Align to use up, so I’m going to ask her if I can alternate each day of probiotics until I use up my Align. Due to all of the drastic dietary changes I was going through, I can’t say if I feel like is making me feel any better than the Align did.
How’ve you been enjoying the end of summer/beginning of fall?
