Fibro Feelings – Will Work Hard for Bunnies!
Last week I thought I was crazy for re-staining the porch, but this week I was even crazier! The Helpful Hubby and I planned to sand, prime and re-paint some of our exterior trim. We thought we’d get it all done on Saturday. Nope! Instead we worked on it for 21 hours over Saturday-Monday and decided not to do all of the trim we’d wanted to do. Obviously, I’m still recovering! I used our orbital sander, while The Helpful Hubby used his Dremel and did some hand sanding and we both painted.
Besides the general exhaustion and soreness that would accompany this much labor for those even without fibromyalgia, I still have extreme foot pain (from standing and using a ladder), fatigue and an overall feeling that every inch of my body is heavily bruised. My whole body isn’t bruised (although a few parts are), but even light pressure still really hurts. After we realized this was no one-day project I knew that I’d be ending up with a flare-up. During all the work days my wrists, back and fingers all hurt too and I was blessed with a bought of insomnia at the same time! Ha!
While working on our project we ended up going to Home Depot three times. We stayed ’til close Friday night and when we were leaving their parking lot we saw the cutest thing! There were two bunnies eating the outside flowers that were for sale. One of the bunnies was standing on its hind legs sticking his head further into the bottom shelf of flowers. It was a moment that left me really wishing I had my camera, because a cell phone camera just wouldn’t have worked in such a low level of lighting.
In elimination diet news I passed my re-test of corn, which means I simply had bought unsafe frozen corn. I also passed my plain yogurt (dairy), milk on cereal (dairy) and black tea (caffeine) challenges. I even went out to eat with friends to celebrate a birthday. Although I haven’t completely gotten out of the clear, I didn’t have any sudden reactions and am so far feeling pretty good! This is really exciting for me since I’ve been missing many of the social interactions that come along with going out to eat with friends.
Have you ever purchased a bad bag of frozen vegetables?

No, Never have purchased a bad bag of frozen veggies. Bad milk, bad meat, bad juice…
Bad fresh produce but never frozen. What kind was it-brand and type?

That’s awful about the frozen vegs, but I’m glad that was the only reason!
Congrats on getting a house project done and I hope your not in too much pain!
We switched to a flat foot ladder because after standing on one for so long painting the inside of my whole house, my feet were so bruised, I couldn’t walk.

Thanks, all the trim isn’t finished, but the most important parts got done! I’m just a little sore and have some low back pain, but I’m improving each day. We have a mostly flat foot ladder too – it does help!

I wish I remembered so I could call the company! It was an organic brand that I usually don’t buy.
