Fibro Feelings – Photos & Food
This week has flown by and I can’t believe it is almost over! Most of my week has been a continuation of preparing for our guests. This includes finally putting pictures in the 11/14 frames on our photo wall that have been empty since we hung the frames in December! I’m really excited to finally get it filled and see all the pictures that I selected for the summer season. There are pictures of family, friends, our wedding, fairs, fireworks, flowers, day trips and our trip to Switzerland. It makes me happy because I chose photos that I feel proud of taking and also because of all the memories attached to those moments.
Some of you may have noticed that this post is going up a little later than I normally post. That is because as I was starting to write my post I had a reaction to my soy food challenge. I had felt fine most of the day after eating two of my 1/2 cup servings of edamame, but as I was eating my third serving I started feeling not-so-great. At first I thought it was just mental because I just did not want to eat more edamame, but I soon started feeling worse and it lasted for hours. Alas, I had to give up on writing my post because I was curled up with a heating pad and not able to concentrate. Even upon waking up today I was still having minor intestinal cramps. So, I guess soy and I don’t get along. Who knew?! This week I passed my oats challenge, my beef challemge and my re-test of yeast, but nightshade plants wasn’t certain due to some headaches, so I’m going to have to re-test that.
You know that saying, “when it rains it pours?” Well, it has felt somewhat like that lately, but luckily nothing was anything extremely serious. The Helpful Hubby has had to work long hours lately, our garage door opener stopped working one night, out of nowhere, the filter became clogged on our washing machine (couldn’t use it until it is cleaned out), car mechanics had trouble installing a part on my car that I needed ASAP and I had many appointments during the time frame. Of course, that all happened while trying to prepare for our house guests whom arrive this afternoon. I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to, but I’m okay with the place that I’m at.
How do you display photos in your house?

Wow! So glad to see I’m not alone in how long it takes me to fill my picture frames! I had three beautiful photo collages hung on my wall for nearly a year before I finally filled them. It just takes a lot of thinking and energy to find the “perfect” photos to display, ya know?
And I can sympathize on the “it’s pouring” analogy: both of our cars have been in and out of the shop; my son’s visits with his new psychologist are NOT being covered by insurance, my daughter sprained her ankle yesterday and I’ve had to carry her everywhere! I am so sore, achy, and exhausted that I’m barely able to walk around without grunting!

It does take a long time and energy! I had to go through all the pictures I’ve saved since I went digital in 2005 and then see what works for which sizes.
Aren’t you lucky, each of your family members are getting the rain!
I hope everything “dries up” soon, for ya!
