Fibro Feelings – A Busy Day Filled with Exhaustion

What is Fibro Feelings?

I cannot wait until I melt into my bed and drift off to sleep tonight! I was up until 1:30 AM last night and got up at 8 AM this morning. While that may sound decent to some, my body likes to stay in bed for ten hours each night. The ten hours are rarely all spent sleeping, but anytime I get up before ten hours in bed I can really feel it, physically and mentally.

I got up early to go to a doctor’s appointment and by the time I got home and ate lunch it was shortly before 1 PM. All I really wanted to do at that point was crawl into bed and go to sleep. The dark circles under my eyes agreed. I knew I had a lot to get done before The Helpful Hubby got home though, so I kept going. I finished writing a few holiday cards, made a grocery list (including things we still need for the party), called an online store to get a price adjustment and tried to back up photos on my cell phone.

I say “try” because my phone had been acting really strange all morning and when I rebooted it (so it would work) and went to back up the files, the photo folder had been emptied! I was am so frustrated! My allergist had asked me to take photos of myself so she could finish making a determination about a diagnosis. I had been doing this for two weeks so now I have to start from scratch and delay a diagnosis, thus also the treatment! I had no time to cry over spilled milk though, so I kept on going…well, except for a few tweets about it!

I continued running errands – to the library, the post office, the grocery store, the pharmacy. Did I mention I had a headache during all this? Alas, I was home and had finished unpacking the groceries. Just as I filled my glass with cold water I heard The Helpful Hubby arriving home. No rest for the weary! We finished making a list of specialty food items we needed, for the party, and headed off to another grocery store, further from home. I told him how exhausted and achy I was feeling and as I said it my eyes teared up. I found it interesting because at that moment I could’ve easily started crying from feelings of exhaustion. That is not what I wanted though, so I pushed those feelings away. I had no extra time to use up crying! By the time we finished shopping it was almost 8 PM, so we just grabbed some food to bring home for dinner. After unloading more groceries and eating I was SO happy to rest on the couch with The Helpful Hubby. And THAT is when I remembered that I still had a post to write for tomorrow!
