Fibro Feelings – 16 Days until Christmas!?!

What is Fibro Feelings?

Is Christmas really only 16 days away?!? Holy smokes! I still need to buy and get some gifts in the mail! I need to get and put up a tree! I need to decorate! Ack! Maybe being out of town for the beginning of December wasn’t the best plan – oh well! We’ve got family coming and staying with us for Christmas and New Year’s. These next two weeks will definitely be a challenge of balancing my own health with my huge to-do list! I’m relieved to have already finished unpacking and doing most of the laundry from our trip. I plan to take lots of breaks between crossing items off my list. Luckily, our family will understand if I am not able to give them a spotless house by the time they arrive.

I have already managed to squeeze in a little Christmas cheer attending a Christmas ensemble concert, listening to the holiday radio station and watching A Charlie Brown Christmas and Elf. I still need to make time to watch my favorite Christmas movie, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I smile and chuckle just thinking about it!

I’m happy that I don’t have to worry about buying Christmas cards in the short time span  that I have left. I buy my Christmas cards during the post-Christmas sales and save 20-50%. Not only is it a money saver, it is a time saver during these busier holiday months. Since I have them early I usually start addressing the envelopes way in advance, but that did not happen this year! I also use printed holiday return address labels to lessen the amount of writing my hands have to do.

This week I was very honored and excited to be included in two online articles! First, Lifescript included me in their article, “Fibromyalgia Bloggers’ Best Tips for the Disease”. I had been contacted previously about this article, but it was so fun to see what made it to print.  A few days later I was included in Master’s in Health Care’s list of  “50 Great Blogs for Fibromyalgia Support” Once I get caught up on all my holiday tasks I can’t wait to check out the blogs on the list that I haven’t already visited!

What is your favorite holiday movie?

You know – as bad as it sounds – until Elf came out I really didn’t have a favorite Christmas movie. Elf took care of that for me though. I watch it at least 3 times a season. And I make hubs and the kids watch it at least once with me every season. I think the kids endure it at first but we all end up laughing togethe.r Our fave scene is the burp scene at the table. OMG – that is soooooooooo hilarious! We say, “here it comes…here it comes…..babaahhhhhahahaaa….that was hilarious!!”

I wrote a blog post this morning about surviving the holidays with Fibro and Depression.

Luv ya, Girl!

My fave holiday movie is The Hebrew Hammer. For Christmas, we’re usually Die Hard folks.

I never realized how many families watched action movies, like Die Hard, during the holidays. That is, until I met The Helpful Hubby’s family. After every Thanksgiving and Christmas meal his family watches whatever new action movies are out.

Pam, I’m so glad you finally have a favorite Christmas movie! It adds to the excitement of the holidays, if you ask me! I love the beginning third or so of Elf, so funny!
