Fibro Feelings – Time with Friends & Cleaning
Man, I kept busy last week! After finding out The Helpful Hubby would have to work late, I met up with friends for trivia night one night. On Veteran’s Day I met up with friends to eat dinner at a working-classroom restaurant at a culinary school. We got a great, filling prefix meal for $19! The most obvious sign they were a class was the service. It wasn’t quite as quick and our server was VERY nervous! My low back had been hurting earlier that day so when I got home I immediately changed clothes, applied some Sombra Natural Pain Relieving Gel and sat with a heating pad on my back.
The next day I wanted to vacuum, but knew I shouldn’t with my back hurting. Besides it hurting while vacuuming, it could aggravate my back and make it even worse. Overall, it was a really rough day and sadness paralyzed me for half of it. It was a friend’s birthday, as well as the anniversary of the last time The Helpful Hubby and I were able to spend time with said friend’s brother. We were very close with his brother, he was even in our wedding. Unfortunately he died after a car accident less than a year ago. The birthday brother wrote about missing his brother on Facebook and I lost it! I felt a little better after getting some laughs from The Ellen Show, showering, getting supportive tweets and doing some laundry.
Saturday was much better! After my shower I was stretching my back and got a few pops. Much to my relief, my back pain soon disappeared! I went to a friend’s baby shower and got to meet more of her friends and see all the cute little baby clothes she received. Afterward, The Helpful Hubby and I met up with our alumni group and watched our college basketball game. We won that game and I came home with a new pair of thick, warm, convertible mitten/gloves. I’ve been looking 2 years for a thick pair to replace mine with no luck until now. This pair is even cute and lined with Thinsulate Insulation!
Sunday came and it was time for our Arthritis Walk wrap up meeting. We enjoyed dinner and conversation in regards to what went well, improvements for next year, etc… I also did a couple more loads of laundry, dusted a little and ran our Roomba. The Roomba doesn’t clean well enough to replace normal vacuuming, but it is sure helpful when I’m not feeling well! It needs to be cleaned out between each use and is a little heavy, so I ask The Helpful Hubby to lift it up and put it back down for me. For Squeaky it is a game. He loves watching the Roomba move about the room.
