Fibro Feelings – Weather Change

What is Fibro Feelings?

Yesterday I woke up to find it was cloudy and rainy. Even Squeaky knew it was a rainy day – when I got up he stayed in bed, all curled up. Usually he immediately gets up with me and starts begging asking for food. The lull of the rain kept me feeling drowsy, but I managed to get some laundry and other tasks done. We had a huge high pressure front going through our area, but as soon as that passed a large low pressure front pushed through. Those pressure changes left me with a headache and achy feeling fingers. Occasionally my hands ache similar to the aches of people with arthritis. All my finger joints ache, sometimes even throb, and hurt when I bend them. Those are the times I wish I had a hot paraffin at home to dip my hands into!

My back was also having discomfort – tingly pains spider webbing all throughout and also deep burning pains. Those types of back pain are usually tolerable to me, just annoying and uncomfortable. During daytime activities I sometimes under estimate the level of pain that I am in. This is due to me moving around and trying to keep my mind off of the pain and on other things. Even though this technique sometimes has consequences, like ending up in horrendous pain waiting for a pain killer to kick in that I should’ve taken earlier, I would not want to stop doing this. I am in pain every second of my life, if I was constantly acknowledging the manageable pain it would really wear on my mentally. I usually don’t even realize I am under estimating my pain until bedtime, when my mind starts quieting. That night it was hard to get to comfortable or to fall sleep with my back hurting. I contemplated taking a pain killer, but decided I would wait just a little longer. After much tossing and turning I resided to sleeping on my side and finally dozed off.
